| they'll stop spending money on it? I fell into that one hardcore. One of the main reasons I sold the Z was because I was spending more money than I really wanted to on it (for the most part voluntarily). It got to the point that I was afraid to drive it since one tiny accident would total it (2+2) and I knew I would never get that money back. So my solution? Sell it, buy a <$5k "beater" and put just as much money - and much more time and frustration - into it. My original plan for the miatAr was to do some suspension bits and leave it at that (actually ordered the Ground Controls, shocks, and wheels before I even had the car in my driveway). Then I drove it everyday for a few weeks and couldn't deal with it being slower than my Escort. At that point I had no choice but to pay more for a POS turbo "kit" than I did for the car. So I agree. If you went balls-out enough modding a car just to sell it, most likely you'll do it again, regardless of whatever your intentions are.
